Tanzania 2017

It is quite exciting to go back to a beautiful country as Tanzania. Being picked up by Msangi, a Serengeti specialist , photographer and driver, we had a blast in the beautiful huge park of Serengeti. Chased by elephants at the entrance promised a great stay….The road to our movable camp was quite long, but worth it. Although we thought we were already seeing so many animals, Msangi told us to be patient for the next day. This was only the beginning!

During the next couple of days we were taken through this beautiful Serengeti, where time does not exist. This is pure nature, where animals all have their own specific part in a hunger hierarchy. many animals live peacefully together, some are a threat to others and all have their own way of hide and seek…. I think I could spend weeks in this park and just be a spectator in this great show, learning how to get an eye for every detail in this world and capturing the beauty of nature.

The trip after took us through a beautifully green Tarangire, the Ngorongoro crater and Arusha NP. Not as many sights as before, but still some quite spectacular views….. Serengeti will hopefully welcome us back another year, in a season of birth and more migration!

Close to the Crater, we visited some tribes that have a special way of living, hidden from other people, as hunters and craftsmen. They prefer living like this, for us hard to imagine.

Last but not least we stayed at the Usambara mountains, not that exciting, but still beautiful. As a portrait photographer, many beautiful people to take pictures of. And of course… the chameleons!
